In a mere 7 months we have progressed from tiny little baby chicks to grown up chicks laying nice, fresh, organic eggs yum for the eating--the eggs, not the chickens. Vegetarians never fear--we are way too lazy to boil, pluck and butcher any chickens so these will live to a ripe old age. We are only stealing their eggs--no harm done, they barely even notice. And yes, the green eggs taste just like the white ones, only cuter, fresher and much more fun.
